New Dog

There's been an addition to my family. I have a new dog. The dirt dog.

Have you seen these things? You turn them on and they vacuum your house!

The dirt dog is geared towards non-carpeted areas. I think it's promoted towards workshops but since I have no carpets in my house, I got it for my floors. And it works great! It's amazing what it picks up. It gets the stuff my other dogs leave behind.

Best part? I can turn it on and go do other things while it does my vacuuming. Like last weekend, I took a long hot bath while it cleaned my living room.

It did my living room again last night while I went to kickboxing class.

This morning it did my bedroom while I cooked a nice big breakfast.
It did the kitchen and dining area while I ate and did my routine internet surfing.

Yes, I love this latest edition to my family. So much better than the last "dog" I had clean my place. ;o)

Good Dog

I live in a relatively small town and every Friday I have a paper delivered to my house. I don't subscribe to the paper - and it's a daily paper, by the way - but on Friday's they deliver the paper to everyone. Why, I have no idea.

But, what that means is that every Friday morning, as I pull my car out of my driveway, I see the morning paper in the driveway. Then, every Friday evening, I pick it up as I retrieve my mail and dump it in the trash can in the garage so that I can haul it out on Monday morning.

Every Friday.

Well, this morning I was pulling out my car and sure enough, the paper was there like it always is. But, down the street I saw a suspicious looking dog. No, really, he was suspicious looking! It looked like he had something in his mouth but I couldn't tell what it was. He was watching me as my car approached the house he was in front of. His head was down but his eyes were following me, as if if he would do that, I wouldn't catch on to what he was doing.

Then I saw it, he had a neighbor's paper in his mouth! And as I pulled up along side him, he darted off into his backyard with the paper. The paper had come from his neighbor's driveway.

It struck me as funny and you know what makes it even funnier? There wasn't a single driveway (mine included) with a newspaper on it when I got home this evening.

I can only imagine how many newspapers are lined up in my neighbor's backyard. LOL

Fashionably Late

Can one be fashionably late to their own party? Sorry I wasn't here Thursday as promised. I had an incredible burst of energy Wednesday after all my exams were over and then I crashed hard. But I'm here now. :)

Since Wednesday was final day, I took the day off to kind of relax because I didn't want to have worked all day and then have to take 6 hours worth of tests. Part of my "relaxation" technique/method/whatever you want to call it, was taking a long hot bath while reading some non-school related material...so I read a People magazine. There was an article in there titled "Caught on Catcam".

Have you heard about this? This couple clipped a camera their cat's collar and set it to snap photos every two minutes. THEN, they sold the prints for $275 a piece and made over $5000! Can you imagine? My dogs would probably only come back with dog and people crotch shot photos and who would buy those?

Does your pet have any special talents that could make money? Please share. :)

Oh, and if you haven't seen it already, scroll down and read the interview with author Maria Geraci!
