Wild Hogs

I went last night to see Wild Hogs with a friend of mine. I wanted to go see it because it looked funny and I like Tim Allen and John Travolta.

I was not disappointed. The sometimes annoying Martin Lawrence even had a good role and did a good job.

Tim Allen was Tim Allen but fortunately I like him (remember, he was one of the reasons I wanted to see this movie).

John Travolta was GREAT in this movie. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone else so I won't go into detail but he did more with expressions than anything. He just did a great job and was very funny in this role.

Then there was William H Macy. I really think (and maybe it's just me) that he's underestimated as an actor. His character (Dudley) was, by far, the most endearing character. I absolutely loved him and thought Macy played him perfectly. He was so funny...SO funny. It was a fun movie but it wouldn't have been as good without this character - and Macy playing it.

Anyway, bottom line, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. There were some corny and predictable moments but it was good. I recommend it.

I'm so glad you posted this, because I thought this looked like a cute movie, but then I saw a bad review and was reluctant to see it. I have a feeling I'll like it if you did. I adore all the actors (except Lawrence whom I'm unfamiliar with).

That's why I don't read or listen to reviews until after I've seen a movie. Movies I really want to see, I go see the weekend they open because then I'm not likely to have heard what others thought of the movie before I've seen it. I'd meant to see this one over the weekend but, um, obviously that didn't work out. LOL

Anyway, I think you would like it. As for Martin Lawrence, he can be really obnoxious with his characters. He can really go over the top but he didn't with this one. He was great in this part and he really cracked me up. They all did - I just wasn't "worried" about any of the others. ;~)

Let me know what you think if you go see it!

I had the exact same experience as Ellen, so it's nice to read that someone has seen it and liked it! I'm with you on Martin, he can be annoying. I love all the others though. Thanks for the tip!

Looks like a good one! I'll put it on my list of movies to eventually see. :)

Oh, and I say eventually because I haven't been watching movies lately. LOL
